Job summary

Medical City Las Colinas seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during shifts. The CNC collaborates with management, serves as a resource for staff, and upholds the organization’s mission and values to improve outcomes and patient experience.

The role includes assessing care quality, guiding staffing, implementing nursing strategies, and driving staff development while maintaining productivity and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within specified times.
• PALS/ TNCC timelines included.
• Nursing credentials and degree required.
• No travel required.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with experts and managers to support teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement (rounding, hourly rounds, etc.).
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selection, and training of new staff; supports performance evaluations and policy compliance.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management to meet patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and supplies/equipment management.
