Job summary

Gasport Skilled Rehab is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead our nursing team in a full-time, in-person role in New York. The supervisor will schedule and assign staff, ensure high-quality resident care, monitor vital signs, develop and modify care plans, and communicate with physicians and specialists to coordinate treatment.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license in good standing.
• Familiarity with NYS Department of Health regulations and guidelines.
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• As a Registered Nurse (RN) supervisor, schedule and assign nursing staff to meet resident care needs.
• Measure and record residents' vital signs during assessments.
• Care plan development and modification.
• Ensure infection control protocols and a safe, clean environment.
• Administer high‑quality nursing care to residents.
• Develop and implement resident treatment and care plans.
• Monitor and report changes in resident symptoms or behaviors.
• Communicate with physicians and specialists about resident care.
• Educate residents on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all residents.
• Provide emotional support to residents and families.
• Provide information to residents and staff by answering questions.
• Maintain cooperative relationships among health care teams.
