Job summary

Frederick Living seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care on 12-hour shifts. This part-time role covers every other Saturday and Sunday, 7:00pm–7:00am, with opportunities to support care transitions and foster person-centered care.

You’ll collaborate with the Nurse Supervisor, DON, and care teams to maintain safety, documentation, and compliant practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor or physician/physician extender.
• Communicate with Supervisor, DON, NHA, care providers, and family/POA as needed.
• Use evidence-based practices to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery.
• Assist in managing personnel through performance evaluation, Care Chats, coaching, counseling, education, and corrective action as needed.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in resident transitions of care, care conferences, and care plan reviews.
• Collaborate with Cedarwood staff to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Comply with Infection Control practices.
• Ensure hand-held communication equipment is maintained for effective call bell management and team communication.
• Attend and complete all required in-services, training, and team meetings.
• Abide by the organization’s code of conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in geriatric nursing preferred
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification
• Basic computer skills
