Job summary

Frederick Living is seeking an RN Weekend Supervisor for part-time weekends (7:00pm–7:00am) in Zieglersville, PA. 12-hour shifts with pay starting at $41.00/hr plus shift differential.

You will lead nursing staff, ensure high-quality care for residents, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support health, safety, and well-being. Preferred candidates are PA-licensed RNs with geriatric experience, BLS certification, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a PA-licensed RN with current credentials.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic computer skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report changes in resident condition to Nurse Supervisor.
• Communicate with supervisor, DON, care providers, and family/POA as needed.
• Use evidence-based practices to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Assist in coaching and supporting staff and performance reviews.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Participate in care conferences and care plan reviews.

What You’ll Do

• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor or physician/physician extender
• Communicate with Supervisor, DON, NHA, care providers, and family/POA as needed
• Use evidence-based practices to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery
• Assist in managing personnel through performance evaluation, Care Chats, coaching, counseling, education, and corrective action as needed
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in resident transitions of care, care conferences, and care plan reviews
• Collaborate with Cedarwood staff to ensure optimal resident outcomes
• Comply with Infection Control practices
• Ensure hand-held communication equipment is maintained for effective call bell management and team communication
• Attend and complete all required in-services, training, and team meetings
• Abide by the organization’s code of conduct
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in geriatric nursing preferred
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to role model professional appearance and demeanor

• Commitment to person-centered care initiatives
• Conflict resolution skills and ability to coach and support staff
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work extra hours as needed
