Frederick Villa Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor to lead nursing staff during weekend shifts in a skilled nursing facility setting. The RN Supervisor will support the Director of Nursing, ensure efficient care delivery, and maintain positive outcomes and satisfaction among patients, families, and employees.

Qualifications

• Current/Active RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing care during the weekend shift and coordinate with DON/ADON and physicians.
• Supervise, train, and support GNAs and LPNs on staff.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Administer medications and provide emergency care as needed.
• Ensure adequate staffing and effective shift-to-shift communication.

Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor

Frederick Villa Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to fill a management/leadership role in a skilled nursing facility setting. The RN Supervisor supports the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes, and patient/family and employee satisfaction during a designated shift.

Position Summary

The RN Supervisor serves as a clinical operational liaison between units and the DON, ADON, medical director, and other nursing staff. He/she is responsible for the clinical operations of the facility including ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations during the time they are working in that capacity.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse Supervisor

• Observe and monitor residents’ health and assess their needs to provide quality care.
• Work with physicians to create individual care plans and assist them during required operations or procedures.
• Maintain complete healthcare records and reports including PCC being utilized according to best practices.
• Supervise, manage, and assist in training LPN’s and GNA’s on staff.
• Perform routine procedures as needed, including administering medication and injections, and provide emergency medical care when necessary.
• Collaborates with DON in maintaining adequate staffing coverage.
• Assess work performance of nursing staff while on duty ensuring timeliness in services to our patients/residents.
• Maintain security of the facility, creating an environment that is respectful, team-oriented, and responsive to the needs of our staff, patients, and their families.
• Monitoring nursing care to reduce hospitalizations and ensure positive outcomes.
• Encourages shift to shift communication between incoming and outgoing nursing staff.
• Reviews prospective Admissions in relation to existing nursing capabilities and ensures readiness to treat.
• Ensure that patient's attending physician and family or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the patient health condition.
• Investigates patient/family complaints and takes appropriate actions to bring to resolution.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse Supervisor

• Current/Active state RN licensure
• BLS/CPR certification
• In-depth knowledge of nursing care methods and health and safety guidelines
• Responsible and compassionate with outstanding organizational and communication skills
• Experience supervising GNAs and LPNs in a nursing home setting.
