Excelsior Care Group's Park Avenue Extended Care in Long Beach, NY is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead daytime nursing operations in a skilled nursing setting.

You will oversee resident care, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with the Unit Manager. Requirements include NY RN license, BLS/CPR, infection control, and child abuse reporting training; full-time day shift with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY RN license and nursing degree.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience supervising nursing home staff.
• Experience with EHR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure excellence in resident care.
• Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing staff education and in-services.
• Collaborate with Unit Manager to develop and coordinate resident care plans.
• Serve as liaison between nursing staff and management.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
• Assess residents daily, oversee new admissions, and ensure physician orders are carried out.
• Respond to medical emergencies and make sound clinical decisions.
• Investigate and report suspected abuse, neglect, or mistreatment per state guidelines.
• Counsel staff on performance and attendance as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Nursing Administration

Pay Rate: Up to $115,000

Position Overview

Park Avenue Extended Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Supervisor to lead nursing operations on the day shift. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about high-quality resident care and staff development in a skilled nursing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure excellence in resident care
• Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing staff education and in-services
• Collaborate with the Unit Manager to develop and coordinate resident care plans
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and management
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State RN license
• BLS/CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Infection Control Certificate
• NYS Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting Training Certificate

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of nursing home experience with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience with Sigma Care or similar EHR systems preferred
