Job summary

Park Avenue Extended Care in Long Beach, NY is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for the Day Shift to lead nursing operations and staff development in a skilled nursing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an NYS RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and have at least 1 year in a nursing home supervisory role. Expect collaboration with the Unit Manager, strong leadership, and a focus on high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license required.
• BLS/CPR Certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• Infection Control Certificate.
• NYS Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting Training Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure excellence in resident care.
• Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing staff education and in-services.
• Collaborate with the Unit Manager to develop and coordinate resident care plans.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and management.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports.
• Assess residents daily; oversee new admissions; ensure physician orders are carried out.
• Respond to medical emergencies and make sound clinical decisions.
• Investigate and report suspected abuse, neglect, or mistreatment per state guidelines.
• Counsel staff on performance and attendance as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Nursing Administration.

Pay Rate: Up to $115,000

Position Overview
