Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Nursing Supervisor for our oncology clinic. This role coordinates daily nursing activities, provides leadership, clinical oversight, and operational support to maintain high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years RN experience, including clinic or supervisory roles, with strong staffing, evaluations, policy development, and staff training skills. RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

  • Oncologic nursing experience preferred.
  • 1–2 years Oncology RN experience recommended.
  • 3–5 years RN experience preferred in a clinic setting.
  • Supervisory, lead, or charge nurse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily nursing activities of the patient care unit.
  • Provide nursing leadership, clinical oversight, and operational support in the oncology clinic.
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling.
  • Maintain staff schedules to ensure coverage for physicians’ worklists.
  • Manage timekeeping and staff performance evaluations.
  • Recommend hiring, performance appraisals, discipline, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with the manager on interviewing, hiring, and terminating staff.
  • Ensure direct reports are trained and competent to perform required tasks and procedures.
  • Resolve work-related issues and escalates complex situations to the manager.
  • Assist with developing and reviewing department policies, procedures, standing orders, and competencies.
  • Hold regular staff meetings for information dissemination and education.
  • Perform annual evaluations on direct reports.
  • Perform essential job functions of direct reports.
  • Ensure high-quality and cost-effective department performance.
