A leading non-profit organization in Middletown, Connecticut is seeking an RN Supervisor for their assisted living program. The role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing the lives of older adults. Candidates must possess a valid RN license and relevant experience in nursing. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality care.
Summary:
Luther Ridge, part of non-profit Ascentria Care Alliance, is a beautiful independent and assisted living community located in Middletown, Connecticut. The RN Supervisor of Assisted Living Services would lead our assisted living program. In this position you would direct the assisted living program, manage staff, ensure regulatory compliance and manage your department budget. In addition to the essential responsibilities that follow, having a passion for enriching the lives of older adults and is amongst the most important requirements of this position.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Manages and coordinates the work of assisted living staff CNA’s and LPN’s.
• Assesses the physical and emotional needs of residents. Makes referrals when appropriate to other community agencies and resources.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards employees, residents and families
• Assesses potential residents for appropriate level of care
• Writes, updates and reviews resident assessments and care plans with appropriate staff
• Coordinates family/resident care conferences and serves as a direct liaison between residents, family and staff.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents and implementation of safe working practices.
• Makes Referrals to appropriate professionals or agencies, whenever the client's condition necessitates, including the provision of current clinical information ensuring that if the client's condition is no longer chronic and stable, services of a licensed home health agency are engaged or other appropriate arrangement are made.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Be available for urgent after-hours calls from LPN and CNA staff.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
• Attends all required training, in-service and staff meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Current and Valid CT RN license required
• Education and Experience required:
o A baccalaureate degree in nursing and a minimum of two (2) years full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience in nursing, at least one (1) of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of sick at home, or
o A diploma or associates degree in nursing and at least four (4) years full time or full-time equivalent clinical experience in nursing, with at least one (1) year of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of sick at home.
• Computer skills including use of word processing and spreadsheets
• Knowledge and compliance with all Connecticut Assisted Living Services Agency regulations.
