Job summary

Gowanda Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Town of Persia, NY, seeks an experienced RN Supervisor for a Long-Term Care unit. You will lead nursing staff, oversee admissions and assessments, and ensure high-quality resident care.

Requirements include a NY RN license, CPR and IV certifications, and at least 1 year of Long Term Care supervisory experience. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in NY state. Current CPR and IV certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures new admissions are completed thoroughly and assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents and nursing staff decisions.
• Contributes to development, implementation, and communication of resident care plans.
• Makes frequent rounds to ensure staff performance and resident needs are met.
• Monitors documentation procedures and reports to the Director of Nursing.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff's clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident's plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident's needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
