Job summary

Delhi-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Cente is seeking a registered nurse for long-term care supervision with strong leadership and clinical skills. The role emphasizes ensuring thorough admissions, resident assessments, and development of care plans, with regular rounds to uphold nursing standards.

Requirements include an NY RN license, CPR and IV certifications, and a minimum of 1 year of supervisor experience in LTC.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of long-term care RN supervision experience with strong leadership and clinical skills.
• Current, unencumbered NY RN license plus CPR and IV certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures admissions are completed thoroughly with all assessments.
• Participates in surveys/inspections by authorized agencies.
• Assesses residents and validates nursing staff decisions.
• Develops, implements, and communicates resident care plans.
• Makes frequent rounds to ensure staff meet nursing standards and resident needs.
• Monitors documentation and reports issues to the Director of Nursing.

Educational Requirements: Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.

Experience Required: Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required: Current, unencumbered RN license in NY state. Current CPR and IV certifications.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
