Job summary

Norwich Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced RN to supervise care on weekend shifts. You will oversee admissions, assess residents, and coordinate the plan of care with the nursing team.

This role requires NY RN license, current CPR and IV certifications, and at least one year of long-term care supervision experience. Weekend-only, 12-hour shifts with premium compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN license in NY state with current CPR and IV certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of long-term care RN supervision experience.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Complete new admissions assessments thoroughly.
• Participate in inspections and surveys by authorized agencies.
• Assess residents and validate nurses' clinical decisions.
• Develop, implement, and communicate residents' plans of care.
• Make frequent rounds to ensure nursing standards are met and resident needs are addressed.
• Monitor documentation and report to the Director.

Educational Requirements

Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.

Experience Required

Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required

Current, unencumbered RN license in NY state. Current CPR and IV certifications.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.

• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.

• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff's clinical decisions.

• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident's plan of care.

• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident's needs are being met.

• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director
