Job summary

Ghent-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Center is seeking a Long Term Care RN supervisor for a Monday to Friday 3pm–11pm shift. The role emphasizes thorough admission processes, assessments, and developing patient care plans within a supervision-focused environment.

The position requires an active RN license (NY) with CPR and IV certifications, and leadership abilities to manage nursing staff and ensure compliance with standards and surveys.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in NY state. Current CPR and IV certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
