Fairport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 142-bed facility in Fairport, NY, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our nursing leadership team. You will provide clinical leadership, oversee nursing staff, and promote a resident-centered environment.

We value geriatric care and staff development, offering a competitive pay rate of $45 per hour, a $5,000 sign-on for full-time RNs, shift differentials, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license.
• 1–2 years of long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and regulatory standards.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and EMR documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Conduct resident assessments and ensure individualized care plans are implemented.
• Monitor residents' health status, medications, treatments, and overall well-being.
• Provide clinical guidance, coaching, and support to nursing staff.
• Serve as the senior nurse on duty during assigned shifts and respond to emergencies.
• Conduct rounds to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacy, therapy, and other team members.
• Communicate with residents and families, providing updates and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and census records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and New York DOH requirements.
• Report directly to the Director of Nursing and serve as a professional role model.

Fairport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 142-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our nursing leadership team.

As an RN Supervisor, you will provide clinical leadership, oversee nursing staff, and promote a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment. Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and evaluate nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

• Conduct resident assessments and ensure individualized care plans are implemented and maintained.

• Monitor residents' health status, medications, treatments, and overall well-being.

• Provide clinical guidance, coaching, and support to nursing staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.

• Serve as the senior nurse on duty during assigned shifts and respond promptly to emergencies and clinical concerns.

• Conduct rounds to ensure quality care and compliance with facility policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacy, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members.

• Communicate with residents and families, providing education, updates, and emotional support as needed.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, census records, and other required reports.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and interdisciplinary meetings.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including CMS and New York State Department of Health requirements.

• Report directly to the Director of Nursing and serve as a professional role model for the nursing team.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $45.00 per hour

• Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for eligible full-time RNs

• Shift Differentials: Additional compensation available for eligible shifts

• Available Shifts: Evening (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) and night (11:00 PM–7:00 AM), depending on position availability

• Schedule Options: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time (22.5 hours per week), depending on the available position

• Weekend Availability: Required, including rotating or scheduled weekends and holidays as applicable

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current, active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, ideally 1–2 years.

• Prior supervisory, leadership, or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.

• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire, if applicable.

• Knowledge of geriatric nursing principles, clinical best practices, and regulatory standards.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Demonstrated leadership, staff supervision, delegation, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
