Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC in New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse supervisor for the evening, full-time shift. The role demands strong leadership, advanced clinical skills, and oversight of long-term care residents to ensure safe, quality care.

You will complete admissions and assessments, participate in inspections, guide nursing staff, and help develop and communicate each resident’s plan of care. A valid NY RN license, current CPR and IV certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year Long Term Care RN supervision experience.
• Current NY RN license, CPR and IV certifications.

Responsibilities

• Completes new admissions and assessments thoroughly.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) by authorized agencies.
• Assesses and validates residents' plans of care and nursing staff decisions.
• Develops, implements, and communicates resident care plans.
• Makes frequent rounds to ensure staff performance and resident needs are met.
• Monitors nursing documentation and reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Oversees med cart administration and treatments.

Educational Requirements

Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.

Experience Required

Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required

Current, unencumbered RN license in NY state. Current CPR and IV certifications.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Medcart medication passing out treatment.
