Job summary

Health & Rehab Center in Virginia is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team as a Nurse Supervisor. The role includes supervising nursing staff, coordinating care, and ensuring residents receive high‑quality, individualized care.

You will manage LTC and skilled units and the onsite dialysis unit, assist with admissions/discharges, administer medications, and maintain accurate nursing records. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with dialysis, LTC and skilled units.
• On‑call weekends and holidays.
• Active RN license in state of practice.
• Nurse Supervisor experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of CNAs, LPNs, and staff nurses to provide individualized care.
• Manage LTC and Skilled Units and onsite Dialysis Unit.
• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Explain procedures to gain patient cooperation and ease concerns.
• Monitor vital signs and document care in medical records.
• Maintain patient care plans to ensure continuity of care.
• Monitor emotional well‑being and prepare patients for continued care after discharge.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care.

What you'll do

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs), License Practical Nurse (LPN), Staff Nurses to Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.

• Manage LTC and Skilled Units and onsite Dialysis Unit.

• Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.

• Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients’ cooperation and allay apprehension.

• Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gage progress of the patient.

• Maintains patients’ medical record on nursing observation and action taken, such as medications and treatments given, reactions, tests, intake, emission of liquids and solids, and vital signs.

• Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.

• Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress, and prepares them for continuing care after discharge.

• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

What you need

• Experience with Dialysis, LTC and Skilled Units

• Monday -Friday, On call for Weekends and Holidays

• Active Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice.

• Nurse Supervisor Experience
