Job summary

Park Avenue Extended Care in Long Beach, NY is seeking a Part-Time RN Supervisor to provide clinical leadership during evening and overnight shifts (3 PM - 11 PM / 11 PM - 7 AM).

The ideal candidate will supervise nursing staff, ensure care plans are implemented per regulations, and act as a liaison with the Unit Manager while maintaining accurate records and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active New York RN license and BLS/CPR certification.
• Infection control knowledge and NY child abuse reporting training required.
• Nursing home experience and SigmaCare familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, including orientation and ongoing training.
• Oversee implementation of resident care plans and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and Unit Manager.
• Review daily patient conditions, occurrence reports, and handle medical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prepare nursing care statistics.
