Job summary

Dunkirk Rehabilitation and Nursing Center- in Dunkirk, NY, is seeking a qualified RN supervisor for long-term care to lead clinical teams on a full-time basis. The role focuses on admissions, assessments, care planning, and ensuring high nursing standards across units.

The position requires a nursing degree, at least one year of LTC RN supervision experience, and strong leadership and clinical skills. The shift is 2–10 PM, five days a week, with every other weekend, at a single site.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year Long Term Care RN supervision experience.
• Strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that new admissions are completed thoroughly and all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff and reports to the Director of Nursing.

Educational Requirements:

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.

• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.

• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.

• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.

• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.

• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
