Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in Eureka, CA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a residential setting. Duties include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, documenting accurately, and supervising CNAs.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN program.
Current RN license in good standing with the State nursing board.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate clinical data to develop nursing plans of care.
Comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices to ensure care quality.
Willingness to work with professional and nonprofessional personnel; proficient English.
Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing care as prescribed by the physician and within scope of practice and facility policies.
Admits, transfers, and discharges residents per policy.
Orients new residents and families as needed.
Records and communicates nursing reports and maintains accurate documentation.
Conducts daily resident rounds to assess status and adjust care plans.
Prepares and administers medications as ordered; ensures safety and accuracy.
Supervises CNAs and participates in care conferences and meetings.
Participates in infection control and QA activities.
