Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in Fortuna, CA is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead nursing services under the Director of Nursing. You will initiate care plans, supervise staff, and ensure the highest quality resident care while maintaining a safe, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in the state in which practicing.
• At least one year of supervision experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English in speech and writing.
• Present good physical/mental health.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents have a clean, safe, orderly and comfortable environment.
• Initiate resident Plans of Care on admission.
• Assist in implementing recommendations from consultants and QA team.
• Develop, review, revise and update resident Plans of Care.
• Notify physicians and guardians when resident condition changes.
• Review complaints and notify DON as necessary.
• Evaluate emergencies and assist in emergency measures.
• Maintain unit area cleanliness and safety; ensure needed equipment and supplies.
• Notify physician of incidents and complete Accident/Incident Reports.
• Assist in investigating abuse or unusual occurrences per policies.
• Start and monitor IV medications as ordered.
• Assist in admitting, transferring and discharging residents.
• Correct findings from Health Services and QA.
