Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator for Moundsville Healthcare Center. The ideal candidate will have a background in long-term care and a passion for education, with responsibilities including coordinating Nurse Aide training, developing teaching materials, and leading state-mandated trainings.

This full-time role requires current RN licensure in West Virginia, with prior supervisory experience in a long-term care

Qualifications

• Must possess a current license as an RN in the state where the center is located.
• Experience in staff development in long-term care is desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aids and maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all STNAs.
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
