Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services seeks an experienced RN to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator for Summers Healthcare Center in Summers County, WV. The role focuses on coordinating Nurse Aide training, inservicing, and staff development to build a skilled care team.

Ideal candidate holds an active RN license in West Virginia, with prior long-term care staff development experience and a Train The Trainer certificate for STNA training. Strong supervisory skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Prior experience in healthcare, preferably long-term care.
• Maintain "Train The Trainer" certificate for STNA training.
• Prior experience in staff development in long-term care is desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing; maintain documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aids; maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all STNAs.
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct and coordinate skills testing.
