Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator for Moundsville Healthcare Center in Moundsville, WV. You will coordinate nurse aide training, develop teaching materials, and implement orientation programs to strengthen staff competencies.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN license in WV, have LTC/long-term care training experience, and a track record in staff development with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current license as an RN in the state where the center is located.
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Maintain Train The Trainer certificate for STNA training.
• Prior experience in staff development in long term care desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all STNA's.
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
