Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator for Summers Healthcare Center in Hinton, WV. Ideal candidate has a background in long-term care and a passion for education.

You will coordinate Nurse Aide training classes, develop teaching materials, and maintain documentation while leading state-mandated inservicing and STNA training hours. Join a team focused on delivering skilled, caring, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Maintain "Train The Trainer" certificate for STNA training.
• Prior experience in staff development in long term care desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all STNAs
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
