Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator / CNA Instructor for Charleston Healthcare Center in Charleston, WV. This full-time role supports a skilled nursing team through education and training.

You will coordinate nurse aide classes, develop teaching materials, maintain documentation, and oversee state-mandated inservices and CNA training hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Prior work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Maintain Train The Trainer certificate for CNA training.
• Prior supervisory experience in staff development in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aids and maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all CNAs.
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
