Job summary

Charlestown Place in New Albany, IN, is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to lead nursing staff development within our Skilled Nursing Community.

You will coordinate training, testing, and ongoing education to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care. Schedule is Monday–Friday with on-call duties and one weekend per month, offering competitive pay and strong support for career advancement.

Qualifications

Active RN license in IN or KY.
Nursing degree or completion of nursing program.
Long-Term Care experience.

Responsibilities

Support the CNA Program Director in the professional development and oversight of nursing staff, including the training, supervision, and testing.
Coordinate with state testing agencies, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensure ongoing staff education through in-service training and orientation.
Oversee infection prevention, monitoring the quality of resident care, ensuring residents' rights are upheld.
Participate in care planning and maintaining accurate documentation.
Promote interdepartmental collaboration, participating in survey processes, and contributing to policy development.
