Job summary

Twin Lakes Rehab and Healthcare Center in Greensburg, PA seeks a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Infection Control Specialist / Staff Development to lead our nursing team. The role focuses on infection prevention, staff training, and orientation for new employees.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, 2+ years in healthcare, and experience supervising or teaching. The facility emphasizes strong leadership and lifelong learning and offers an engaging work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree or BS preferred and completed nursing school.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Must have at least two years of experience in hospital, nursing facility, or related setting.
• Must have supervising, managerial and teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify departmental training needs in collaboration with department directors.
• Develop and maintain orientation programs for infection prevention and health programs.
• Provide leadership training for Nurse Supervisors/Charge Nurses.
• Report reportable diseases to county and state health departments.
• Lead in-services on wound prevention, ostomy care, and incontinence for staff.
• Liaise with residents and families to plan prevention and infection control needs.
• Plan and conduct in-service training for CNAs/GNAs and other staff.
• Help standardize work methods and identify tasks with blood/body fluid exposure.

Education

Associate's Degree, BS preferred

RN license (active)

2 years healthcare experience
