Job summary

Renaissance Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center in Staatsburg, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse to fill a dual role that blends staff development, leadership, and infection prevention excellence.

You will provide hands-on education to nursing staff, coordinate orientation and mentorship, lead the Infection Control Program, and ensure timely reporting of health events, with a focus on quality, safety, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in New York
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Passion for education, mentorship, and quality improvement
• Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Staff Development Responsibilities: provide hands-on clinical support, education, and guidance to nursing staff; identify training needs; develop and lead in-service programs; coordinate orientation and mentorship; maintain records of educational activities.
• Infection Control Responsibilities: lead and manage the facility’s Infection Control Program; keep resources current; conduct routine rounds; prepare monthly reports; ensure timely reporting of communicable diseases.
