Job summary

MediLodge of Grand Rapids is seeking a Staff Development Infection Control Registered Nurse to assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate and coordinate the center's Staff Development Program. The role includes hands‑on clinical orientation and ongoing education for licensed and unlicensed staff.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, CPR teaching certification if applicable, and 3 years of nursing experience including long‑term care; BS degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BS degree preferred.
• RN license required.
• CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• State CE requirements current.
• Three years of nursing experience, with long-term care exposure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate and coordinate the Staff Development Program.
• Provide hands‑on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Develop and conduct orientation for new, rehired and contract employees.
• Monitor training documentation for compliance with state, federal and accreditation rules.
• Coordinate OSHA and risk management activities and keep records.
• Assist in budgeting and control of department expenditures.
