Genesis HealthCare in the United States is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead staff education within a nursing center. You will report to the Director of Nursing and develop education programs, supervise new nurses, and conduct competency testing to elevate patient care practices.

The successful candidate will have an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and substantial long-term care experience with a focus on gerontology and adult learning training.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license.
• Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred.
• Excellence in clinical nursing skills required.
• Experience in Gerontology preferred.
• Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Report to the Director of Nursing.
• Develop education programs in response to staff needs; teach current patient care and nursing center practices.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during orientation.
• Perform annual competency testing and evaluate nursing staff performance for education needs.
• Oversee Employee Health Program including vaccines and influenza immunizations tracking.
