Job summary

Life Care Center of Medina is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as Staff Development Coordinator, planning, organizing, developing and directing in-service education in compliance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

The ideal candidate has a nursing diploma, an active RN license, and experience in teaching/education; CPR certification is required or obtained during orientation. Prior skilled nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Nursing diploma (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing).
Currently licensed/registered as an RN in the applicable state and active throughout employment.
One year skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in service, and orientation.
Maintain associate training and in service records.
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
Assist in evacuation of patients.
Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
