St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA, is seeking a Registered Nurse responsible for caring for a designated patient group using the nursing process and collaborating with the health care team.

The role includes performing stress testing, transesophageal echo, cardioversion, tilt table testing, Holter monitoring, bubble study and EKG. The position requires rotating weekend and holiday on-call coverage with flexible hours as scheduled, along with a valid LA RN license and BLS/ALS

Formación

• Board-certified nursing program completion.
• Current LA RN license is required.
• BLS and ALS certifications from ILCOR approved providers; course must include manikin check off.

Job Description And Position Requirements

Scheduled Weekly Hours: TBD

Work Shift:

Monday - Friday: 7:00a - 3:30p or 7:30a - 4:00p | Weekends On Call: 8:00a - 12:00p | Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Summary of the Job:

Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Performs essential functions needed to carryout Stress Testing, Transesophageal Echo, Cardioversion, Tilt Table Testing, Holter Monitor Scanning, Bubble Study, & EKG. This employee will also take rotating call for weekend and holiday coverage.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program
• Current LA RN License required
• Current BLS and ALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off
• Must be able to work flexible hours and rotate call.

Physical Demands:

Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

• Constant (67%-100%) - hearing, seeing
• Frequently (34%-66%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling/feeling, talking
• Occasionally (1%-33%) - climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching
