The position requires completion of a Board Certified Nursing Program, current LA RN licensure, and BLS certification. This full-time role entails 12-hour shifts and adherence to holiday/weekend requirements, ensuring that the health system continues to deliver exceptional care.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities for the medical/surgical patient. Activities include, but are not limited to, use of the nursing process in the utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care as it relates to the specific needs of the patient. Registered Nurses also supervise the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants. Registered Nurses work within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follow hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse also complies with hospital and nursing standards in the performance of job duties and responsibilities. The Registered Nurse will support the goals and objectives of the department and of the hospital.
