Job summary

Mercy Hospital Saint Louis is seeking a part-time RN to join the Float Pool. You will gain diverse clinical experience by floating to Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, and more, while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

The role offers weekend options, tuition support, and a range of benefits to support growth, learning, and work-life balance within Mercy Health System.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the past year).
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred).
• Current RN license in Missouri.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the scope of nursing practice and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and across units during float assignments.
• Function within Mercy Health System nursing guidelines and Co-Worker Code of Conduct; participate in Mercy Service Standards.
• Float to multiple units (Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, CVICU, Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics, etc.).

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct.
