Mercy Hospital Saint Louis seeks a part-time RN for the Float Pool with weekend options. You’ll gain broad clinical experience across the hospital, floating to Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months within the past year)
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred)
• Current Missouri RN licensure
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within Mercy's Float Pool across multiple units
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and teams
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and follow Mercy policies

Job description

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

About Mercy Float Pool:

Float Pool Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the past year)
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred)
• Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri
• Certifications:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
