Job summary

Mercy Hospital Saint Louis is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Float Pool RN to join the Mercy Float Pool. You will float across multiple units including Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, CVICU, Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics, and more, providing patient care with the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Gain broad clinical experience, sharpen assessment and communication skills, and collaborate with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience; 6 months within the past year.
• Registered Nurse license in Missouri (Missouri RN).
• BSN preferred by Mercy Float Pool.

Job description

Find your calling at Mercy! Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Float Pool Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the past year)
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred)
• Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri
• Certifications:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
