Job summary

Mercy Float Pool is seeking a Part-Time nurse with weekend availability to gain broad clinical experience across multiple units. You will collaborate with diverse teams, enhance assessment and communication skills, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• RN must have 1 year of acute care experience (6 months within the past year).
• Nursing degree from an accredited program; BSN preferred.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across units within the Mercy Float Pool.
• Coordinate patient care with other hospital departments.
• Protect patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Adapt to multiple units, including Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, Oncology, and more.

Job description

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Float Pool Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months must be within the past year)
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited program (BSN preferred)
• Licensure: Current RN license in Missouri
• Certifications:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
