Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Part-Time Weekend Float Pool RN to provide high-quality patient care across multiple hospital units. You’ll gain broad clinical experience, adapt to different teams, and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

The role emphasizes flexibility, ongoing growth, and compassionate patient interaction. The position offers stipend benefits, tuition support programs, and career advancement opportunities within the Mercy system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience (6 months within past year).
• Nursing degree from an accredited program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Missouri.
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Float to multiple units as assigned within Mercy Float Pool (Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, Stepdown, Oncology, Neurology, Orthopedics, and more).
• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care and coordinate with other departments.
• Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and Mercy Service Standards while delivering care.

Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Float Pool Qualifications:
