Job summary

Agency for Health Care Administration in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse Specialist to conduct inspections and evaluate facilities for licensure and Medicare/Medicaid certification. You will document findings and may work solo or as part of a team, with potential leadership duties and mandatory tests within the first year.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, two years of nursing experience, travel, and the ability to work weekends or holidays as needed. Background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections using an established survey process for state licensure and federal certification.
• Evaluate health care facilities for compliance with Medicare/Medicaid participation rules.
• Document findings and complete written survey reports.
• May survey as an individual, team member, or team leader.
• Complete mandatory certification tests within 12 months of employment.
