The Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Adult, Aging and Disability Services, is recruiting for a Registered Nurse at the Colorado State Veterans Community Living Center in Rifle. The role provides professional nursing care and assessments in a 89-bed skilled nursing facility with a Special Care Unit for residents with Alzheimer's and related conditions.

Qualifications

• Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Two (2) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
• Appropriate education may substitute for up to two years of the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilités

• Performs standard assessments including admission and daily assessments and documents care in EHR and paper records.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and nursing policies; directs subordinates to meet standards of care.
• Administers prescribed treatments and medications; maintains safety and timely reporting to physicians and families.
• Trains subordinate staff and delegates duties to ensure effective coverage and continuity of care.
