Job summary

Colorado Veterans Community Living Center (VCLC) at Fitzsimons is seeking a Nurse III for a part-time rotating shift to supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. The facility is a 180-bed skilled nursing center serving Colorado’s veterans, located on the medical campus with UC Hospital and the Aurora VA Medical Center.

The role requires a current Colorado RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and at least three years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license in good standing.
• BLS or CPR card required.
• Three years of professional experience in an occupation related to the work.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and evaluate a team of nursing staff on assigned shifts.
• Oversee and deliver direct patient care including assessments and care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments with adherence to standards.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure charting compliance.
• Respond to crises and emergencies and file incident reports.
• Coordinate with physicians, dietitians, and operations for seamless care.
