Job summary

State of Colorado’s Colorado Veterans Community Living Center at Rifle seeks a professional Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care and assessments for residents. The role includes conducting admissions and daily assessments, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The position requires an active RN license, eligibility for eNLC states, and CPR certification, with shifts including day, evening, and night.

Qualifications

• Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any eNLC member state.
• Two (2) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
• This position must maintain CPR and perform CPR according to CPR guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform admissions and daily nursing assessments, identify emergencies and plan care with physicians.
• Direct and ensure compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor resident safety, document changes, and communicate with families and physicians.
• Train and supervise staff, manage workload, and ensure continuity of care.
