Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Simulation Educator to lead emergency-based simulations and operate high-fidelity mannequins. You will guide clinical practice in a learning environment, mentor staff, and ensure all equipment is functional for in-situ scenarios.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
• Three years of hospital clinical nursing, emergency/critical care experience, and knowledge of EMS.
• One-year experience with simulation training and a background in simulation-related education methodologies preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the state where practice occurs and/or multistate licensure if in an NLC state.
• Current provider/instructor cards in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, TNCC and ENPC or within 12 months of employment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL-B preferred or ability within the first year of employment.
• Must meet Sanford Health medical certification guidelines for category 1 drivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and clinical knowledge in emergency-based simulations.
• Operate simulators and run pre-programmed and in-situ scenarios, ensuring equipment is available for operation.
• Maintain all requirements, licensure and certification.
• Coordinate program, course, and class schedules; mentor and educate faculty and staff.
• Report equipment concerns promptly; participate in vendor training.
• Troubleshoot simulation equipment and vehicles; foster collaboration in learning settings.
