Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Lead EMS educator to develop and deliver simulation-based EMS education for health care professionals, students, and community members. The role includes creating and evaluating simulated-learning activities within curricula and the mobile simulation environment.

The position involves coordinating programs, mentoring faculty, and assisting with budget/equipment decisions. A nationally registered Paramedic is required, with licensure to be obtained within six months,

Qualifications

Minimum of an associate degree preferred or three years of high-volume EMS field experience or high-volume EMS as an provider.
Nationally registered Paramedic is required; licensure must be obtained within six months of employment.
Instructor/Coordinator course or equivalent required within six months of employment.
Current provider/instructor cards in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, TNCC and ENPC preferred.
DOT CDL with air brake endorsement may be required depending on location; obtain within three months if applicable.

Responsibilities

Participate in active research activities related to simulation-based EMS education.
Coordinate programs, courses, and simulation initiatives within the mobile environment.
Mentor and educate faculty and staff in simulation programs.
Oversee budget and equipment recommendations for the simulation program.
Operate simulators and run programmed scenarios with instructors, ensuring equipment is functional.
Represent the simulation program at user groups and organizational meetings at local, state, and national levels.
