Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking Registered Nurses to join our Medical Telemetry Unit in Temple, Texas. This seasonal part-time role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to care for a diverse patient population in a 38-bed unit, with exposure to a wide range of diagnoses and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience.
• A minimum of one year's experience in the field of nursing.
• A valid Registered Nurse license.
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.

We Have a Varied Medical/telemetry Population Including

• Sepsis
• Pulmonary Conditions or Respiratory Distress
• Chest Pain
• Infection
• Patients requiring isolation; including to negative airflow rooms
• Patients requiring skin and wound care including wound vacs
• Patients requiring scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio-cath, pacemaker insertions and chest tubes.
• Enteral Feeding Tube Insertion and Maintenance
• Patients requiring Cardiac monitoring
• GI abnormalities
• Trach care
• Genitourinary abnormalities
