Job summary

Spencer Hospital in Spencer, IA is seeking a flexible Registered Nurse for the Same Day Surgery/PACU. You will apply the nursing process to provide individualized patient care and coordinate with the team.

The role requires IA RN license, BLS and ACLS, and about one year of medical/surgical experience preferred, with on-call nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• IA RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• One year of Medical/Surgical or similar nursing experience preferred.
• Able to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Comfortable with technological systems.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care in the Same Day Surgery/PACU area.
• Assume accountability for the outcome of nursing care during the shift.
• Collaborate with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care.
• Must follow age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients.

Location: Spencer, IA Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on-call involvement (United States of America) Spencer Hospital is proud to employ highly skilled and caring staff members. Position Highlights Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.

Responsibilities: Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the Same Day Surgery/PACU area Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements: Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems IA RN license BLS and ACLS are required One year of Medical/Surgical or similar nursing experience preferred

Schedule: 2 full-time positions available! 72 hours a pay period - combination of 8 & 10 hr shifts Self scheduling 6 week block Paid on-call for nights, weekends, and holidays The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
