Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. is seeking a Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for our premier long-term care facility in a coastal New York community.

This on-site role leads clinical quality, risk mitigation, and DOH reporting, partnering with the DON to uphold high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have an active RN license, 3+ years in long-term care, and prior ADON or risk management experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Must have documented experience submitting accident and incident reportables.
• 3+ years RN experience in long-term care or similar setting.
• Prior ADON, Risk Manager, Quality Coordinator, or Clinical Supervisor experience.
• Strong knowledge of DOH reporting mandates and state surveys.

Responsibilities

• Direct the investigation, documentation, and mandatory reporting of all facility accidents, incidents, and reportable events to the DOH.
• Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations and maintain high clinical quality standards.
• Conduct root-cause analyses on clinical incidents and implement immediate corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local DOH regulations and lead state survey readiness.
• Educate and train nursing staff on safety protocols, risk reduction, and proper incident documentation.
