Job summary

Mercy is seeking an RN Resources Supervisor for the Stepdown unit, night shifts (4x10s from 6pm to 4am). You will supervise resources, deliver expert patient care, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain Mercy Service Standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to professional standards, and commitment to Mercy's mission in a dynamic health system environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license.
• 1 year of critical care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification may be required for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information.

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

RN Resources Supervisor - Stepdown- FT Nights (4x 10 hour shifts) 6pm-4am

$20,000 Bonus for Experienced Nurses

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience: preferred 1 year of critical care experience
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
