Job summary

Southcoast Health in New Bedford, MA is seeking an RN-Resource Nurse for the Family Center, night shift (11:15pm–7:15am) with every other weekend/holiday rotation. 32 hours weekly with a $4,000 new-hire sign-on for candidates with 2+ years of Family Center experience.

Required: BSN or equivalent, MA RN licensure, BLS; ACLS preferred; prior charge nurse experience preferred. Vaccination against flu and COVID-19 or approved exemption required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Three years of clinical experience in Family Centered Unit - Mother/Baby, Labor & Delivery is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• BLS certification is also required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Experience as charge nurse preferred.
• Must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of Director, Manager, Patient Care or Designee perform a variety of duties involving the coordination of both clinical and non-clinical care activities including staff assignments, staffing levels, etc.
• Provide guidance, support and coordinate orientation of all new staff members.
• Coordinate staff assignments and staffing levels.

Hours: 32hrs

Shift: Night shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation; 11:15pm - 7:15am

• Experience as charge nurse preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
