Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. in New Bedford, MA is seeking a registered nurse for the Med Surg/Tele unit to coordinate total patient care under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services.

You will contribute to patient and family teaching and lead the care team to maintain high professional standards. The role requires Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, MA RN licensure, BLS, and three months experience; new grads are eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Three (3) months experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit.

UP TO $7,200 NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONUS

Hours: 24hrs

Shift: Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7:00am – 3:30pm

Location: Med Surg/Tele – St. Luke’s Hospital — New Bedford, MA

SIGN-ON DETAILS

• $7,200 with a minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
• $6,000 with 1 years of nursing experience.
• $4,500 with less than 1 year of nursing experience (new grads are eligible!)
• Must be a new hire OR a rehire termed greater than 1 year to be eligible

Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Three (3) months experience is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $40.74 – USD $74.81 /Hr.
